On the occasion of the ID@Xbox staged within the IGN Fan Fest, the developers of Digital Sun in collaboration with 11 bit studios showed Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault with a new trailer, also announcing its arrival at launch in the Game Pass catalog.
Sequel to Moonlighter, also in this case it is a particular game with a hybrid gameplay between RPG dungeon crawler with roguelike elements and fantasy store management, coming in 2025 on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PS5.
The trailer shows various gameplay scenes that help to better understand its particular mixed mechanics, which sees us engaged in the exploration of dungeons at night and in the management of the family shop during the day, where we sell the objects found during the adventures.
Between dungeon crawler and store management
In the world of Moonlighter, merchants travel through interconnected worlds to sell unique wonders. Will, the protagonist, used to venture into these realms, collecting loot and selling treasures in his crowded shop.
As in the previous game, we will travel between vibrant and ever-changing dimensions to discover mysterious relics, facing endless enemies, treacherous traps and challenges armed with a varied arsenal of weapons, including a versatile backpack where you can strategically place the recovered relics to unlock countless effects and maximize your earnings after each expedition.
Once we return from a journey we will be able to display our relics for sale, negotiate to make profitable deals and reinvest the earnings in even more powerful equipment.
