If you’ve been stuck on Mira since the Wii U days, the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition has a laundry list of updates that will make you smile. If the Switch version is your first time experiencing the game, you are still in for a treat! Nintendo Life recently sat down with the game, and we’ve learned so much about all the great quality of life updates that await new and returning members of BLADE.

What has changed in the last 10 years? See the side-by-side comparison in this video from Nintendo Life:

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is chock full of changes, both big and small. Here’s a list of the things we know:

  • Improved resolution
  • Improved UI
  • New options to adjust the sound levels (and adjust the Skell flight music)
  • Instantly perform an art again with the new Quick Cast feature
  • New additions to character customization
  • Change party members at any time (no more hoofing it halfway across New LA looking for the perfect HB)
  • Party members gain experience even when they aren’t in the party
  • Affinity levels up faster than the original
  • Change the time whenever you want instead of at select locations like in the original
  • Access FrontierNav through a separate menu
  • Improved Follow Ball to guide you for main and side quests
  • You can collide with cars and Skells instead of fade right through them in New LA
  • No more BLADE or Division levels – rewards are now moved to surveying Mira
